Run, Tellman, Run

Tellman Knudson is running across America in his Bare Feet.

You read that right. Why you ask? Because he is raising 100 Million dollars to help homeless teens in America. Tellman had a few bouts with homelessness himself as a teen. Now he is a very successful and popular internet marketer, and is raising $100,000,000 to combat youth homelessness by being the first person ever to run across America in his bare feet!

Tellman left Battery Park in New York City on Sept. 9, 2009 and hopes to reach the Santa Monica Pier in 99 days. Several people kicked off the run with him, including another big internet marketing guru, Mark Joyner. Mark lives in New Zealand and flew all the way to New York to join Tellman for what was supposed to be the first 10k (6.2 miles). However, once he passed 10k with Tellman, he ran with him for another several miles - 14 miles in all, also in his bare feet. Now Tellman has been training for this event for months, but I am not sure Mark has. In fact, according to Tellman's Blog, Mark even ran it with a broken toe!

I got an email from Tellman this morning. Here is what he had to say about that:

Awesome moments like that, where
a person goes above and beyond
always give me a rush...

And I'm going to need a lot of Awesome
moments to hit my goal of raising 100 million
for homeless teens.

But you know what?

I can do it.

I know he can do it! We're going to help!

I created a Squidoo lens to promote Tellman's Cause and to help him get the word out. Please stop by and give us a shout out!

The "Run Tellman Run" title came from Tom Hanks' movie "Forest Gump". Tellman says people kept joking with him and saying "Run Tellman, Run", so decided to make it official!

All joking aside, teenage homelessness in America is getting worse every year. I hope you will help me end teenage homelessness by supporting Run Tellman Run.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. 1 out of 3 Homeless teens will attempt suicide. Let's help them today!
